AN APPEAL FOR MANIPUR RELIEF....

The enmity and hatred between the Meiteis in the valley and the Tribal­s staying in the hills has turned into communal violence due to strong political support and the inactivity of the administration. The Meitei fundamentalist groups have led the mob carrying out hatred violence, torching, setting ablaze houses, and blasting gas cylinders inside church buildings. They were armed with weapons, guns, and bullets and have created havoc by killing innocents and destroying houses, Institutions, Churches.

Around 196 Kuki and other tribe people have been killed, 2900 houses have been burnt, 36,725 Kuki and other people are in Relief Camps, more than 50,000 people have been displaced to different places, 376 church buildings have been destroyed and also Institutions belonging to different denominational churches have been destroyed.

Essential Relief for Manipur Victim Workers

The SFCAN is mobilizing the prayer support and funds to provide the basic needs for our members who are affected. The relief provisions with the items of Rice, Dal, Onion, Potato, Cooking Oil, Soaps & Detergent with other items will be provided to them. The above items will help the families to have good meal for one month for the entire family. Many tribal people who live in the hills pluck up the leaves from the forest and having the meal of simple rice and water because they do not get the vegetables. The one month provisions of relief items for each family will cost minimum Rs.6,000/- because of sky racking rate in this state. Can you please come forward to lend a helping hand to provide the relief materials for the needy families?

The cost of meeting out the needs for each family will be Rs. 6000/-.
